MUSIC, POETRY AND PAINTING: A MOZARTIAN HOMAGE TO DANTE

The Associazione Mozart Italia – Trieste -AMITS, founded in 2011, resumes its activities after a long period of forced inactivity. And it starts afresh with 4 concerts to be held by its youth ensemble, the Amadeus Adriatic Orchestra-AAO. Established in autumn 2015 and conducted from the beginning by Maestro Stefano Sacher, composer, teacher and artistic director of AMITS AAO has performed dozens of concerts so far in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige, Slovenia and Austria, offering a repertoire that includes the most important authors of the classical-romantic period, including F. J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn, G. Rossini, F. Chopin. In addition to this repertoire, the AAO has given performances of composers such as G.. Fauré, C. Saint-Saens and O. Respighi, as well as performances of contemporary music.

The new series of AAO concerts will take place on 12,13 18 and 19 June, a series of musical and visual events dedicated to this year’s Dante celebrations and will be held respectively in Dolina, Teatro Preseren in Bagnoli/Boljunec, then at the Rocca di Monrupino/Repentabor, in Ronchi dei Legionari within the Estate Ronchese, and in Povoletto, at the Park of Villa Pitotti.

The AMADEUS ADRIATIC ORCHESTRA, conducted by Maestro Stefano Sacher, the voice of the actors Tina Gunzek, Riccardo Beltrame, Omar Giorgio Makhloufi and the brush of the painter Paolo Cervi Kervischer will give life to an interactive show, underlining the link between different arts.

The aim is to create a parallelism between the figure of Virgil, ethical and poetic guide to Dante, and the decisive presence of Leopold Mozart and F.J. Haydn for the musical and compositional evolution of Wolfgang Amadeus. The recitation of verses from some of the Cantos of “L’Inferno” by the actors will be followed by the performance of movements and sections, by the Amadeus Adriatic Orchestra, taken from the symphonic and concert repertoire of Leopold Mozart, Franz Joseph Haydn and W. Amadeus Mozart, chosen with dramaturgical construction, while Paolo Cervi will paint a “live” picture conceived from the suggestion of the verses and music.

The four events held by the Associazione Mozart Italia – Trieste enjoy the collaboration of the Municipalities of Dolina, Ronchi dei Legionari (GO), Povoletto (UD) and the patronage of the Municipality of Monrupino/Repentabor.

The initiative benefits from the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
